Abstract

Percutaneous renal biopsy was performed on 4 male patients ane I female patient with asymptomatic proteinuria and persistenthematuria.
Blood pressure and other physical findings were not remarkable. Glomerular filtration rates were within normal limits.
Renal biopsies in each case revealed that 3 cases of focal mesangiopathic glomerulonephritis, simulating a "minimal change" disease pattern on light microscopy, 1 case of membranous prolifertive glomerular nephritis, and 1 case of diffuse sclerosing glomrulonephritis.
Immunofluoroscent studies showed positive of IgA, C3 IgG and IgM, and fibrinogen -were present in the glomerular area.
Deposition of complement was minimal or negative.
